I just read a news account criticizing John Mc Cain for a remark he made about our ( the U S ) sales of cigarettes to the country of Iran. He is report to have said that it was a good idea and might just kill some of them off. Iran has expressed it’s indignities, that such a statement has been made by a candidate for president of the United States.
This from a country who’s leader; or at least a leader figure head, that has denied the reality of six million murdered jews in the holocaust during the second world war. A country that says it will wipe the country of Israel from the map.
The Iranians threaten to close the Straits of Hormoz, the strait between the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman, cutting off the shipment of all oil from the area.
Here is a scenario that I like and think this country should undertake. Destroy all Iranian shipping in the Gulf waters, all oil shipping terminals, all refineries in Iran, all pipe lines and oil wells. This stops the money flow, without the money they can’t feed themselves.
I know this well cost the U. S. Oil, But we will get by.
McCain says he was not at all serious, about his comment on the cigarette shipments.
Get serious John, we need a serious president, to say the least.

John has not yet learned that a presidential candidate can not be human and that he must always say the "right" thing.
Frankly I would find some humor in the president a good thing, but he would pay for every joke because some idiot would take it seriously

| I agree Redcap. I made the above comment “Tongue in Cheek” . The intent to get something going, on the forum even, if it is just to get mad and tell me I’m nuts. Their don’t seem to be many takers of any kind. I don’t think there are more then 10 or 12 regular readers of the forum, that are registered and read comments other then those made in the What’s the Scoop.

| I agree, It is a dissapointment for me. This could be a great place to stay in touch with the people from my old hometown. Howver, on the plus side, I have made a least one new friend here. We just moved into a new house here in Colorado yesterday and we will be pretty busy for awhile.
